The inspiration behind this site is to follow and discuss the lates trends in web based mobile applications. I am mainly interested in applications that live in the browser of mobile devices. I belive that there are various opertunities in using the mobile browser as a container for applications

• web technologies are highly standardized and thus the application can be used and viewed be all mobile devices with a capable web browser.
• Depending on the requesting device an adapted version of the application can be served to support that device.
• Close integration with a powerful server backend, meaning that the mobile device is only responsible for displaying a web site, the server can take care of most backend logic.
• Lots of capable developers.

But there are also various limitations, such as gaining access to the interesting functionality and features of the mobile device and publishing web based mobile applications and building a user base.

As I am also very intersted in all the other funny and interesting mobile things I can’t promise that the blog will always stay on track and might wander of into a unkown direction.
